Friendly Plastic Jewelery

Friendly Plastic is such a great product for the home arts and crafts fan. Make your own jewellry designs. Here I have used 2 seperate pieces of different colours.

The plastic sticks are heated using a low heat source such as an oven, heat gun or just in a pot of hot water. The sticks can then be blended and shaped according to your imagination.

After blending and shaping my 2 sticks, I then set the pieces into Grace Japanese Air Dry Clay.

To finish, I coated my design with Envirotex to provide a gloss/glassy finish – finally, punch a hole and mount a jump ring as usual. Ready to party

Not only for jewelery, you can make almost anything, you can mix and blend and then twist the material in any shape you want. The sticks are also great for embossing and stamping or as an embellishment for a hand made box or picture frame.
